Google Nexus 7 is one of the best cheap good tablet PC out there today. It is not however without problems. The Droid Guy has compiled the most common problems Nexus 7 owners encounters and provide solutions when available.

Next Gen Google Nexus 7 Rumor

Google Nexus 7 enjoyed great sales and is a hit for both Google and Asus. The next gen Nexus 7 is rumored to be in development.

Back in January reports and rumors started floating around that Google and ASUS look to continue their partnership on a 7-inch portable and budget-friendly tablet, and this seems to back that up. The initial report suggested a thinner bezel, more industrial design, the HD display and more as mentioned above. And now we’re hearing a few more reports that are getting us excited. 

Some reports and analysis were dug up from the folks at UnwiredView stating Google will jump ship from NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 (or possibly the Tegra 4) and opt for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro for multiple reasons. One being excellent battery life as Qualcomm’s continued to improve, and then the other main factor being 3G/4G LTE radios under the hood. Having the entire Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC powering the device would be a good move to help keep costs down.

Will Google score another hit with their next-gen Nexus 7 ? We will see soon enough. They are expected to announce the next-gen Nexus 7 in May 2013 during Google annual I/O event.

Acer set to release Iconia B1 in India

Acer Iconia B1 made headlines due to its low price and only available in developing markets. It is now confirmed that the Iconia B1 will very soon make an appearance in India. The price ? Rs 7,999 (US$ 147.20).

Previously, Wall Street Journal quoted a source as saying that Acer was working on a $99 tablet that will have a 7-inch screen with 1024x600p resolution and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). A US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) application for the tablet revealed others specifications of the Google Nexus 7 rival, including 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB onboard storage, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi as well as microSD support.

It will be priced much cheaper that the Google Nexus 7. So, it is going to be very interesting to see if it can beat the Nexus 7.

Two Top Cheap Good Tablet PC 2012

The two top tablets of 2012 are Apple iPad Mini and Google Nexus 7. The Google Nexus 7 is, of course, my personal choice, due to its more affordable price. But we must also remember that Apple still leads the tablet market. By introducing the iPad Mini, Apple is now a competitor in the cheap good tablet PC, even though its price tag is still somewhat expensive.

Rumor Asus To Offer Better Cheaper Tablet Than Nexus 7

Asus, the maker of Google Nexus 7 is rumored to have a sub $100 tablet PC in the works. The news comes from a benchmark result over at GLBenchmark. The specifications, are of course below the Nexus 7, with 1GB processors with unknown cores and Mali-400. Both which are below the NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset embedded inside the Nexus 7.

Could this be the budget Google Nexus tablet in question? It's hard to say. The benchmark shows a 1 GHz processor (number of cores unknown) and generation-old Mali 400 graphics, which would both be a step below the Tegra 3 quad-core chip inside the Nexus 7.

The codename is ASUS ME-172V. The good news is that it will feature microSD card expansion. Something that is lacking in Google Nexus 7. Rumors also say that this tablet may be released as a variang of Google Nexus.

Technical specifications points to the device featuring a VIA WMV8950 processor, 1 GB of RAM and a microSD card, which is a component Google's Nexus 7 lacks

It is also rumored to have Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS, so Google Advanced Search and Google Now will be available on the ME-172V.

Unsurprisingly, the specs aren't going to challenge the iPad mini. The 7-inch screen is said to have a 1,024x552-pixel resolution, according to GLBenchmark, and the processor will be somewhere between 600MHz and 1,008MHz. It does seem to be running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean though, so impressive features like Google's advanced voice search and Google Now will be at your fingertips. Or lips, depending on which you're using.

While it is only a rumor, but it is very exciting news. It is unlikely that the tablet will be available during 2012 holiday season. The GLBenchmark page for ME-172V has been removed, and the search function does not work, so this should be the real deal.

Let us keep our fingers crossed and may this rumor comes true. The world can still take another cheap good tablet PC.

Lenovo IdeaTab A2107 priced $149

Lenovo is a household names in personal computer world. It is a chinese brand, known to acquire IBM. Now it is releasing its tablet offerings. The 7-inch tablet, called IdeaTab A2107. It is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The price ? $149.

The device is getting its power from a modest 1GHz MTK Cortex A9 processor and 1GB RAM. However, many analysts think that specs of the device haven’t been disappointing as they expected they would be. Being a 7-inch tablet, these innards are much enough for the machine.Going by connectivity options, the 7-inch Lenovo tablet shows off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GSM/WCDMA. You have three choices for data storage as well. It comes in three internal memory options that are 4GB, 8GB and 16GB. Every version mounts microSD slot so that you can add to storage capacity of the devices with external memory sticks. Each model also comes in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi and 3G combo options.The tablet, unlike Google Nexus 7, carries both rear and front cams. They are not extremely powerful cameras, however. The rear one is outfitted with a 2MP sensor and the front one for video chatting is up with an average VGA sensor. The machine is solid and stronger thanks to its soft matte finish and roll cage enclosure.IdeaTab A2107 is to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. Lenovo IdeaTab A2107 is cheaper than Nexus 7 by $50. So, it is a great alternative. However, should you have a spare $50, I recommend the Nexus 7. It is more powerful and have higher resolution display.

Nexus 7 32GB Available Now 8 GB to go on firesale

Google Nexus 7 is now available in 32GB configuration at Staples. It is priced at $250. This is the same price as the old 16GB, which means that the 16GB will soon be sold at $199. While the 8GB will be sold for even less. There are proof already of customer purchasing the 32GB version. This is before Google announcement on October 29th, which hints at new Google Android OS and or tablet.

Google Nexus 7 itself is a great gaming device. However in its current 8GB and 16GB configuration, not a lot of games can be stored inside the tablet. Google Nexus 7 is a collaboration between Google and Asus.

This tablet has been advertised as a great mobile gaming machine; it has all the specs to be one, and games run smooth as silk, but it lacks one thing. A major one, at that – internal storage is just not enough for the device to hold more than a few HD games, especially for owners of the 8 GB version. To make it more complicated, the 7-inch affordable tablet does not feature a microSD slot.

Google Nexus 8GB is rumored to be discontinued. This means there will be a firesale (clearance sale) coming soon.

The photo also suggests that the 8GB model will go on clearance on Oct. 30. Good news for those looking to snatch up the low-end device for a low price before it disappears.
