Acer Iconia B1-A71 is an entry level tablet, says Acer. With the expected price of $150, it should be.

The Iconia B1 is also ideal for busy individuals seeking a convenient mobile companion,” Acer says in a press note. The machine is to mount a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 512MB RAM. The processor is from Mediatek. The display is a TFT panel with a resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels at 170-ppi. It has 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB if required.
“At 11.3 ounces and 11.3mm thick it’s a pretty svelte device, especially considering its expected starting price of under $150,” says Engadget. It has a VGA front facing camera for video chatting. For connectivity, the Acer tablet has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. However, Acer has missed to announce the exact release date. Maybe, it will be on display at MWC 2013.

The two devices - the Archos Titanium 70 and the Acer B1-A71 - both cost the same, £99, and both run Android Jelly Bean, the latest version of Google's mobile operating system.
The Archos sports a dual core 1.6Ghz processor, with quad core GPU, and 8GB of storage that's expandable to 64GB with a MicroSD card. The Acer features a 1.2Ghz processor, with 8GB of storage expandable to 32GB with the right SD card.
It's fair to say that neither of the tablets is particularly impressive in the numbers department, and while the price point is pretty low - around $130 - you can't help but think it might be worth shelling out an extra $50 to get a Nexus 7 instead.
